Mountain Hydrology

Throughout my PhD programme I was involved in a number of ongoing research projects that investigated local to regional hydrology within the Tropical Andes. Primarily this work has been within the Peruvian Cordillera Blanca and Rio Santa watershed. However, I have also worked on projects in Bolivia and am currently involved in a project in Huancayo, Peru.

This research has included taking discharge measurement (Sontek M9 ADCP, staff gauges, salt dilutions); installing continuous monitoring discharge gauge networks; water sampling for trace metal analysis and hydrochemical mixing models and installing and monitoring groundwater wells.

You can read more about these research projects here.
